Biography
Brimet Silva is a creative director, generative designer and founder of Spectroom, a multidisciplinary studio operating across architecture, product design, installations and digital research. His practice centres on the integration of computational design methodologies with advanced fabrication technologies, including robotics, CNC production and additive manufacturing.
Silva’s work investigates how digital systems can reinterpret cultural heritage and material production within contemporary contexts. Rather than treating technology as a purely technical instrument, his approach positions digital processes as conceptual and spatial tools shaping new material experiences. Through projects spanning collectable design and architectural environments, Silva examines the relationship between virtual experimentation and physical form, producing works that combine structural innovation, technical research and cultural continuity.

The c(AI)rcle V is part of a series that explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, (re)generative design, art, and sustainability, crafted using high-quality expanded black cork. This piece is produced exclusively from the branches (falca) of Portuguese cork oak trees through a completely natural process that uses only natural resin and avoids chemical additives, ensuring an eco-friendly and sustainable production.
Inspired by biomimetic principles, the circular structure recreates organic natural phenomena, co-created by humans and algorithmic computation, and is shaped through advanced CNC milling technology. This innovative process brings forth new creative possibilities in contemporary art and design. Beyond its visual appeal, cork, known as a “super-material,” offers exceptional thermal and acoustic properties and acts as a CO2 sink, playing a crucial role in environmental sustainability.
