Madar Alsuwaidi
Emirati ceramic artist based in Dubai and Operations Manager at House of Clay, the ceramic gallery and art space founded by her mother. Working with coil and slab construction, carving and layered glazes, she creates sculptural and functional works exploring interiority, resilience and unseen systems.
Inner Worlds, Unseen
Inspired by the underground worlds of ants and the hidden systems they build beneath the surface, Inner Worlds, Unseen connects these unseen networks to the human inner world: the thoughts, fears, struggles and strength that are not visible from the outside. The lighting sculptures work with light and shadow to make the unseen structures visible.
