Biography
An interdisciplinary researcher, Elkharashi explores sustainability, cultural identity, and human interaction. Working across furniture, installations, sensory environments and exhibition design, she develops projects that examine how material experiences shape emotional and behavioural responses. Her approach combines research, storytelling and spatial thinking to address broader questions surrounding contemporary living, cultural continuity and environmental responsibility.
Rather than positioning sustainability as a purely ecological concern, Elkharashi investigates its social, emotional and cultural dimensions through immersive and participatory design methodologies. Her work reflects a commitment to restoring cultural relevance and intentionality within everyday experiences, producing projects that balance conceptual inquiry with functionality, accessibility and material sensitivity.
Stacked Drinking Object
Stacked Drinking Object is part of a new set of everyday objects that examines cultural understandings and makes them part of its essential qualities to guide a new, improved, and healthier daily routine.
Stacked Drinking Object playfully reinforces mindfulness and requires you to be in the present. This drinking object holds three gulp-sized, doughnut-shaped containers with thumb dents on both lateral sides. The three containers rest on a central see-through carafe, which holds the water while serving as core support. The supportive carafe has a tapered neck that matches the inner diameter of each doughnut, indicating the correct order for stacking the doughnuts.

Prolonged Drink Object
Prolonged drinking object is much more than just a drinking object; it’s a piece that cleverly incorporates the cultural principles of tranquillity and mindfulness into our daily routines. Its meticulously designed form invites a conscious pause, encouraging the individual to appreciate the present moment while observing the gentle flow of water through an intricate network of twisted tubes.
Every curve and twist of the design has been carefully considered to create a water flow that captivates the eyes and calms the mind. Drinking from “Prolonged” is not just a physical experience, but rather a journey of contemplation and connection with the world around us.
